If you have a life insurance policy in which the need no longer exists, an easy way to support Lafayette is to name the College as the beneficiary of the death benefit upon your passing. By maintaining the policy and naming Lafayette as a revocable beneficiary, you reserve the right to alter your plans should your circumstances change.

If Lafayette has been named as a beneficiary of a life insurance policy, please let us know by filling out and returning a Statement of Deferred Gift Provision. We would enjoy recognizing you for your commitment and putting plans in place for the use of the gift while understanding that unforeseen circumstances may alter your plans sometime in the future.

Individuals may also support the College by gifting a life insurance policy to Lafayette. Donors who choose this method of support transfer the policy with the commitment of making an annual tax deductible contribution to Lafayette to cover the premium payments.
